At Maplewood Financial Services we carry out research on the funds available for you to invest in.
This research is constantly monitored, and our Investment Committee meet on a quarterly basis to agree on the funds we recommend.
In our assessment we consider the following (amongst other things):
Cumulative Performance of all funds over the last three and five years
Discrete Performance of all funds over the last five years
Annual Quartiles of all funds
The Ongoing Charge of all funds
The Financial Express Rating of all funds
(Crown Rating from 1 to 5, where 5 is best)
This helps us define a short list of approved funds and from this our preferred fund list. Using the asset allocation for each risk profile and the preferred fund list we are then able to produce individual portfolios for each risk profile.

Russell is the founder and Director of Maplewood Financial Solutions, He has advised clients throughout Lancashire & Cumbria for over 30 years and has the level 4 Diploma status
Charlie Parker
Charlie is the managing director of Albemarle Street Partners. He has long experience in investment having previously run the discretionary fund management business for Sanlam UK and sat on the board of Neptune Investment Management. Planning (Dip PFS).
Fahad Hassan
Fahad is a portfolio manager for Albemarle Street Partners. Prior to joining he worked at Legal & General Investment Management where he managed approximately $1 billion investing in equities in the United States. He is a CFA charter holder with a deep understanding of industry structure, style-factor investing and monetary economics.
Chris Holdoway
Chris is a portfolio manager for Albemarle Street Partners. He is a chartered wealth manager who previously worked for Seven Investment Management and Bowmore Asset Management.
Eleanor Williams
Eleanor is responsible for Albemarle Street Partners’ business development. She brings considerable expertise in marketing and client relationship management having held a range of senior commercial positions at Citywire.
